What is Feminism?

Feminism is a social change movement and collection of theories that champion fair treatment and justice for all individuals regardless of sex, gender, race, class, sexuality, religion, ability, size, and/or other differences. It analyzes and challenges systems of oppression, power differentials, and social hierarchies.

Feminism has been defined in a variety of ways in a variety of contexts for a variety of people. Feminism is not monolithic.
