Women’s Studies is an interdisciplinary field of academics that is framed by the experiences, lives and perspectives of women in a variety of theoretical and analytical contexts.
It explores a diverse array of topics including (but certainly not limited to) sex, gender, race, class, sexuality, religion, ability, history, the body, and the environment. Students of Women’s Studies leave the program with exceptional critical thinking skills, enhanced abilities in communication, and an invaluably nuanced understanding of culture, social interactions, and how to create change. These skills provide students with a strong foundation going forward into the workforce, pursuing further education, or simply navigating life after university.
The Women’s Studies program is by no means restricted to women, and welcomes all voices and identities.
